Behind The Brand

Founded in 2020, Delphine Dubuisson is an independent, high-end fashion label created from a desire to make beautiful, creative garments while having as little negative impact on people and the planet as possible.

My passion for making clothes began at a young age, taught by my grandmother in Belgium. It stayed with me throughout the years and eventually led me to London, where I pursued a career in fashion with a dream of creating beautiful, luxurious and creative garments of my own.

After several years working within the fashion industry, I became increasingly aware of the impact that the corporate fashion and retail system can have on our environment, the people working within it, and our relationship with consumption. I reached a point where I knew I wanted to do things differently, and leaving my job gave me the opportunity to create a brand that reflected my own values.

Today, I design and make every garment myself, from the initial idea and design, through pattern cutting, fabric sourcing, sewing and finishing. Keeping the process in my own hands allows me to work slowly and thoughtfully, and to have a much closer relationship with each piece I create.

Social and environmental values are at the heart of the brand and are not something I am willing to compromise on. I carefully consider the fabrics I use, where they come from and how they are used, choosing materials that align as closely as possible with these values, including deadstock, upcycled and more environmentally conscious fabrics.

I am particularly inspired by colour, nature and the character of the fabrics themselves. I love creating pieces that feel expressive and joyful, while still being carefully made and designed to be appreciated for years to come.

Delphine Dubuisson is, above all, a reflection of my desire to create fashion in a way that feels more personal, thoughtful and responsible.
